If you get outside and move for relaxation or for health benefits I would be willing to bet that you have a favorite time of year to do it. Enjoyed getting to meet some new people at White Hall Park this morning. Eventually I will think to get a group photo.
We had 3 different paces and distances done this morning so if you want to come out more than likely somebody will be there to run or walk with you.
Now off to the Horse Park for the KHSAA State Cross Country meet to support Madison Central.
Treadmill running is pretty much evil if you ask me and since you most likely clicked something to get here I am going to pretend you actually asked me. Somehow I always run harder and excerpt more energy on the treadmill than I do on the same run outside, at least that is how it feels. I can knock out 8:30 miles for a couple hours outside and still feel pretty good. I can get on the treadmill and run 30 minutes at what it tells me would be an 8:45 pace and be begging for mercy. I seem to be constantly talking about running in my post, but I want to make sure that everyone understands that I am for the most part referring to moving, not running. I firmly believe that most people today need to move more to be healthier. I don’t just mean physical health, but also mental health. Getting outside and moving gives a person time to process life. My entire life I have fought muscles cramps. I have had cramps in my legs, toes, feet and even had my lower jaw get a muscle cramp one time. That one brought tears to my eyes. I can’t tell you how many times I have leaped out of bed in the middle of the night to get pressure on my foot. Cramps are never fun, but for me getting woke up by one, while dead asleep is absolutely the worst.

The group run this morning was cool in a couple ways. The temp was 43 when we took off which was definetly cool, but also it was cool getting to meet some new people and talk about running. The group is growing and new faces are showing up. I love meeting people, especially runners.
This group has a lot of trail runners so be on the lookout for a group trail run soon.
